Our Share program is all about empowering you as an author of freeware and shareware software to provide an easy distribution platform and sharing ad revenue created with your content - your software.

How do I make money?

UpdateStar splits the revenue created from your UpdateStar product pages 50/50 with you as a Share partner. The eCPM currently equals about $2.00 per thousand impressions, which would mean $1.00 for you as the software vendor - repeated with all traffice we generate again and again. We are using purely Google CPC advertising.

There are two ways that your software will create ad revenue for you via UpdateStar:

From linking directly from your developer website to UpdateStar product pages as a download mirror

From repeated downloads caused by update alerts via the UpdateStar client with its growing installation base linking to the product pages. With every update available for your software product you create iterative ad revenue.

You receive monthly reports about your Share performance, which tells you exactly how many money you're earning.
